Saw this on the Ipswich Town website. Maybe an alternative for those who can't attend every home match but want a deal. Good for exiles or shift workers? If Ipswich can do it surely they can make it happen at GTFC.

Ipswich Town FC are pleased to launch our brand new Pick6 & Pick12 match ticket bundle products.

Fans can hand-pick their own match choices and bundle these into a package, making a financial saving at the same time. These bundles are perfect for those fans who cannot commit to a full or half season ticket due to regular commitments elsewhere.

The Pick6 product allows fans to hand-pick 6 Ipswich Town FC home league match tickets, with the Pick12 product allowing 12 match selections.

Only want to come to Saturday matches?
Only want to see certain matches?
Have certain matches you just can't attend?
Want to forget about having to remember to buy tickets match by match?
Want to guarantee a certain seat for only a selection of games?

This flexible product could be just what you're looking for! To start the ball rolling, choose your Pick6 or Pick12 product below.

I would certainly consider joining such a scheme, as a full season ticket is not a viable option for me

It's already been discussed between Trust and the club. Several options have been put forward and waiting to hear back.

Sounds a great idea to me but I can see the club being concerned that if these tickets were available at the start of the season some will buy these flexible tickets as opposed to season tickets therefore possibly reducing income.

This would a def yes a buying a bundle would encourage any exile to attend more home games  you could pick 6/12 games out are yr committed   As a exile did the season ticket holder for 28 seasons  more fanatical and obsessed with town  in those days. So come on Mariners trust and the commercial dept  give it a try

i appreciate that there have been discussions....but...these were pre season werent they ? Realistically how long does it take to weigh up something like this ?  Its a fairly simple sum isnt it ?
Guarantee some future income regardless of form, if a shift worker is on a shift that will allow him to attend in the nick of time as such, but the weather is crap, the team have lost 4 on the bounce then he may not bother, if he has already bought a ticket he will go..or if he doesnt it wont matter as we have his money anyway.
I cant see why it would take so long for a decision on a proposal, especially one for which there are working models out there already in the game.
Ring one of the clubs up... "Hi  has your shift/ block ticket idea been commerciallyand logistically viable for you?"   Yes - No   "Ok thanks"

It might help bring in more people for whom a game is on the verge of affordability or who can only make the odd game in a season. And it wouldn't do any harm to help out hard working people in the town.

Certainly worth looking into something like this, surely it can't be that hard to try and implement it before Christmas....forget about the half season tickets and do a 6 any games adult package for £100 and 12 games for £180.

As long as some kind of proof or validation can be provided, then this is a great idea. Always those that will abuse it though.

Do youngs give ticket discount to their employees (as the main sponsor)? Again, another way of making things affordable. The same for those working on the docks etc plenty of potential to tap into, I think it just needs a bit of 'thought' from the commercial dept and big balls from the club.

We did do something similar to a block ticket a few years back at the back end of the season. Probably the year we went down but I definitely bought a 5 match package at a slightly reduced price

That time it was just for consecutive home games and they didn't carry it out over a longer period....no tampon puns please

As an exile I probably get to miss 4-5 home games a season and for me personally it doesn't feel right having the ST and only using it 75% of the time

So anything that benefits me such as this Ipswich scheme that probably would also benefit the club has to be a win/win situation you'd have thought?

Our neighbours offer a 6 or 12 match option

Don't think this is quite the same. It is offering bulk tickets for any one game unless I'm reading it wrong.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

Not the same thing - that's 6 tickets for one game. Not one ticket for six games.

I think you're correct Barra - oops.
I'm sure they do (or did) something though, I remember seeing an advert for it on one of our recent trips there
