Town looking the more dangerous team at the moment.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Great save from macca. Tuton is looking lively

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

One on one with Tuton through and he put it wide

Could have been us in front

One minute later Stead hits the ball on the volley and cracking save from McKeown

Need to defend doggedly and capitalise on our chances when we get them

I know its offside but Gowling again losing his man and making the wrong decision. We need someone to give that lad with the onespple hair cut a good kick

Notts County came back into it towards the end of the half but we held on to the lead. They'll come at us in the second half so I hope we can pull our socks up and make it hard for them. Tuton really should have scored created a great chance for himself. He's looking like a good loan signing young and hungry to prove a point which is what we need from him. Other lad who's name escapes me is looking okay from what I saw the tempo and passing from Town has been really good. Bogle doing what he does holding the ball up and being strong it's making them nervous at the back along with how quick Tuton is they are dragging the Notts defence all over.

Playing well but we keep losing runners from midfield. Like the look of Tuton, an upgrade on Jackson as he has strength as well as pace and Omar half an inch from being outstanding again. Really enjoying watching it live on t'internet but part of me wishes I went.

They've started the stronger in the second half as we'd expect

We need to get hold of the ball for a few minutes to take the sting out of their attacks

Starting to think we can really do something in this league.  Stevenage thrashing Hartlepool.  Shows we are a good side in this league and those three defeats on the trot could be an aberration.

Agreed, we've proved we can more than hold our own in this league, when we get the little defensive errors sorted I think we'll be well up there, be interesting to see how we get on with the likes of Pompey & Donny.

That was always going to happen every two passes we give the ball away at the minute and they've been pressing.

Ruined by crap marking, hope we can get a decent centre-back to come in alongside Pearson. Two free-agents would be handy!

Agree about the marking

Not sure about sub choices though

We were killing them with pace so he took Chambers off and brought Berrett on, I like Berrett but he isn't fast. We lose Tuton and gain Vernon again a lose of pace we then bring Disley on for Vose and push Bogle out onto the wing. We should of brought on Bolarinwa to keep pace in the side for either Chambers or Tuton.

C'mon chaps, that's a good away point if disappointing in the end. Notts deserved an equaliser to be fair. We are still growing into this league and look a little disjointed but the signs are promising. Would have taken that at 3.00 pm.

They only deserved a point because we invited them to apply pressure after a series of poor subs

They deserved the point they wanted it more in the second half. After the second goal they had all of the ball and we were all over the place. Sick of watching Gowling plod around making mistakes and really didn't need some of those subs at that time. Hurst doesn't make the subs when we need them around 70 minutes and when we don't he decides to make them and remove all our attacking threat. Team responded to that by sitting back and inviting pressure.

Absolutely infuriating to go down like that.

More positives then negatives in that game but if you want to see what good substitutions can do in a game look at how County's made a huge positive impact and ours invited trouble. we defended so well from the front, we needed Tom on i think instead of a player playing out of position.
Learning curve and still a point. remember Macca making good saves he seemed on it today...
draw a fair result in the end,

The boss told me to put it in the corner.....i thought he meant the top corner.

Probably would have taken a point before the match anyway...........UTM

Now putting on BT Sport to watch Torquay v Lincoln  just to remind me how far we have come and that we are disappointed to have not taken 3 points at Notts County.

They only deserved a point because we invited them to apply pressure after a series of poor subs

Or they chucked on three subs and went for it, and it worked.

Gowling made mistake after mistake like he has done. in most games this season. Shouldn't have taken Chambers off They are the only negatives in a very entertaining game. One word sums the finish  " PHEW "

Thought that Vadaine Oliver who we were all worrying about signing and all relieved when he didn't really added something until then Pearson was mopping everything up and winning it everywhere. He won all the headers and ran at us causing all sorts of problems.

Agreed with taking Chambers off he offered little in the second half but should have brought Tombola on, I think if Jackson had been available he'd have come on and given ua more of an outlet but he had a tight thigh apparently so wasn't to be.

I first thought that 2-0 had killed them but as soon as their changes came on we looked vulnerable. Thought Bogle was excellent again and also Pearson, still not sure about Andrew gets caught out of position too often.

As for the referee he gave us nothing, every 50-50 went against us and if that's a penalty then we should have had at least 3. Every time the outstanding Omar got the ball under his spell the pulled and pushed him all over.

I've wasted my life in black and white, a pathetic act for a worthless cause

Some interesting results in Lg 2 not a definate pattern other than we need to score 3 goals to have a chance of winning a game

All very well saying ref gave us nothing but the way Bogle makes a meal of EVERYTHING, whinging, whining, throwing his arms up and slamming his fists into the ground,  well....I think it would get on my mammaries too!

The only one that is questionable I would say was taking Chambers off and replacing him with Berrett

Tuton had to go and Dizza coming on wasn't a bad decision with 5 to play

Maybe PH thought we would hold on with Berrett to shore things up....dropping deeper invites pressure though and that "game-plan" and our suspect defence more than the inviduals concerned was the issue for me

You cannot legislate for their first goal - we had a great chance to clear and the new lad Comley's failure to deal with the ball gave them their chance

With one goal back and them coming on to us as they did, it was no surprise we couldn't hold out for the last 10 minutes ( or nearly 20 minutes with the additional time the ref added )

When all's said and done it's our first point on the road so not a totally unproductive afternoon....just could have been that much better if we had a bit more composure in defence

Surely it should be clear to Hurst that Berrett is NOT a wide player! With them pushing forward surely a pacy wide player like Bolly would have been better to exploit the space behind! I know that wouldn't have guaranteed the win, but it would have given them something to think about in defence!

Feels like a defeat and could have been if their guy had stuck the pen away. Sounds like that would have been very lucky for County. Still struggling in defensive areas so down to PH, Doig and the players to continue to work hard as I am sure they will. An experienced organiser, dominant central defender would gave been handy.

Bolly should have came on for chambers imo not berrett.

The flanks were exposed all day and he would have got us further up the pitch imo in the last ten mins, btw the fans were class again today.

The subs definitely changed the game we looked a yard slower and unable to hold the ball up front. Consequently they pushed up and controlled the whole of the second half even when boggs scored that was against the run of play.

They totally dominated us the second half hope Hurst learned something in that you need pace up front to prevent defenders from pushing up like they did and putting extra pressure on our vulnerable defence agreed Bolly would have made them defenders think twice it was far to easy for them.
