They are silly , your right, a top keeper and a top CB is all that's needed after today performance (bogle ) I don't think a striker is as important as those two spots mentioned. I truly believe if we can sign a top CB and as a bonus get a top keeper , this league is there for the taking. Ofc other teams will get stronger and some will make better signings in january, but for the first time today I've let myself think we have a chance to go up via play offs, must be the 5-2 win   great day for us, lads have done us proud.

We've got 3 strikers. What happens if one is injured? Or suspended? Or we lose 2? This to say nothing of wanting some variation in our play by having more than one forward who could come off the bench,

Of course we need another striker,

It's a promising sign that we're the highest scorers because it's much easier to stop shipping goals than it is to start scoring them if you're struggling at that end. Obviously there are defensive issues to iron out but if we did that and continued attacking the way we are then there's no reason we can't have a decent and exciting season.

Didn't we start out all attacking last season, but with silly defensive errors. Seem to remember we then changed as Hurst brought in Tomlinson to defend from the front (he certainly didn't attack that's for sure) and apart from the Townsend period we weren't as attacking after that. Perhaps he will be having similar thoughts again?

Does anyone know when we went 5 games into a league season without drawing?.
