Its all a ploy..throw enough smoke it gets in your eyes and you can't see what really is going on. (or they hope you don't)

That's an analogy btw. Nothing to do with actual smoke bombs.

I want some pyrotechnics that go puff flash puff flash bang. Basically, I want a condensed Pink Floyd concert for £500.

Can someone explain to me what the point of them even is? I've always struggled to understand why people waste their money on them, let alone think its ok to throw them in the pitch at a football match.

Your looking at from a sensible point of view and not how the morons see it.
They certainly won't read anything on here or take any notice of the club appealing.
Direct action will be the only option.

WYCOMBE Wanderers have issued banning orders to four Grimsby Town fans who were ejected from Adams Park during Saturday’s match.

The club’s stewards identified four individuals who were responsible for either bringing a pyrotechnic device into the stadium, discharging it or throwing it on to the pitch early in the match.

In line with the club’s zero tolerance policy on the use of pyrotechnics within Adams Park, the four men will now face a lifetime ban from the stadium.

Meanwhile, Wycombe Wanderers have also issued a banning order to a Wycombe supporter for repeatedly breaching the club’s regulations in relation to acceptable behaviour.

As per the Information Sharing Agreement, the supporters details have been shared with Grimsby Town Football Club, who will be additionally banning these supporters from all games involving Grimsby Town Football Club across all age groups.

These devices carry substantial risk to those using them, supporters and the stadium infrastructure in terms of fire risk. Grimsby Town Football Club has zero tolerance with regards to pyrotechnics and will take every measure possible in the pursuit of a criminal conviction.

The point of them is that they are banned. Therefore in the tiny minds of some idiots there is some sort of kudos in smuggling them in and chucking them about. It's the sort of mentality that makes people put videos of themselves on social media doing a ton down Freemo on their moped. To them it is sticking up a finger to the club, the law and everyone else who says they should be banned.

Much as I applaud the life bans by Wycombe and Town that won't stop any other determined @rsole from doing it.

I don't think banning or club fines or even point deductions are ever  the answer

They should be taken behind the Pontoon by a few upright Mariners fans, the smoke bomb wedged firmly in their scrotum and then set off. I suspect it wouldn't take many such happenings to form a deterrent.

Quite frankly those who have got banning orders deserved what they got.

Even putting the health and safety issues to one side for a moment.

These devices have been around at several games over the last couple of seasons. The club and others have told 'fans' not to bring them. They announced a zero tolerance policy that is undoubtedly shared by other clubs. Despite this incidents have continued.

The club has even expressed concerns that continued incidents will lead to the club facing sanctions....fines (which we can ill afford) or even points deductions (which we can also ill afford).

Incredibly these idiots continue. Just a word lads....you may think you are being incredibly cool.....you're not. You may think you are adding to the atmosphere....you're not.
You may think other fans look at you in awe ....we dont. Quite the opposite in fact. F***wits.

Soft bleeding liberals you're all the bloody same

However, poetic justice would be to insert said pyro into a tampon, insert tampon into available bodily orifice, light the blue touch paper (or whatever you do nowadays) and stand well back.  Not forgetting the obligatory phone cam for social media !!

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
