Unfair on Pearson. Gowling doesn't deserve his starting place back considering he got himself sent off last week and Pearson was superb on Tuesday. Makes a mockery of Hurst saying players out of the team have to take their chance when it comes.

Hurst clearly has a game plan and wants to stick instead of twist which I think it is best at this stage there is a whole season ahead so we don't want to chop and change when we have a  winning side from Saturday. Apart from that sending off Gowling had a good game especially in that second half before he was off he was getting in the way of everything  and making it difficult in the air put in a couple of great tackles. Having Pearson that can come off the beach helps a great deal later in the game because he's another we can trust to fight for everything and make things difficult.

How many Town there ?

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Gowling used to play with Adebayo Akinfenwa (The Beast). Knows all about him. Probably the right decision. Unlucky on Pearson though.

No messing about with these 3 / 5 year bans. GTFC need to impose a lifetime ban for this.

Last thing Grimsby Town F.C. want is heavy fines from the FA or worse. I would take the culprits to court and force them to pay the thousands of pounds fine, sting them were it hurts their wallets.

I hope the rest of the crowd point them out.

This could cost us a fine or even points deduction if it continues.

Should be a lifetime ban, arrest and hopefully a prosecution.  Just insane that these morons are going to cost the club fines and points.  Fines that come out of the transfer budget and points that have to be re-earned on Tuesday nights in Colchester and Portsmouth.

If you see it at the game, it's your duty to report the person to the stewards and police.  For the life of me I don't know how no-one's not been prosecuted yet.

Kind of end to end at the minute, Wycombe probably getting the better of it but nothing our defence hasn't handled.

Jackson a bit quiet so far seems to be having more problems with defenders who aren't crap like Morecambe. Sounds like he has to settle down a bit.

Because the smoke bomb on Tuesday was thrown by a Derby fan into the Grimsby end.

If Wycombe are to score, sounds like it will be from a big ball or a melee in the goalmouth.  If we're going to score, sounds like it'll come from a Jackson or Bolarinwa run.

This pyro business needs stamping out! Before it costs us points and money, money which could be spent on a new player

I just don't think they understand the dangers, pyros can kill, people may have asthma, the pyro could effect their breathing,  pyro burns at 1600℃.

If you see somebody with a pyro you will not be a grass if you report them, it is your duty to inform someone if you see a fan with a pyro, for their safety, for your own safety and everybody else safety, it needs stopping now

Got to half time at 0-0, town have been poor to be honest, haven't really been able to keep the ball at all and have been wasteful with it in good positions. We look a little lacking in the middle in midfield and at the back we have looked a little shaky. Need to be better after half time.

Decent first half. Dayle Southwell got a lot of ball in first 20 mins. Boyce needs to work on his back passes as he has had s couple of wobbles. They look at bit slow at the back but very strong. Think we can do them on the break second half.

We don't seem to have improved in any way against free kicks around the box

First goal of the season against us

Got a couple of saves out of their keeper but didn't sound like they were the best shots in the world. Just needs a quality finish we are pressing now which is good. Bogle came on for Vernon.

Seems that way. After we scored it was all Wycombe we should have been keeping up the pressure on them they were rattled by a close chance just before we scored then the next chance went in so had we pushed them they may have let another one in. We sat back and let them come at us so there was always a chance they would get one. Just hoping to grind out a draw was a bad idea.

Comfortable midtable for us and push on next year is most likely

Would love more obviously but as long as we don't go back down we have something to build on

Always sad to concede in injury time especially after playing well after conceding the first goal. You don't always get what you deserve in football. It is early days, learn from this and move on.

17 shots overall

One positive is all teams have dropped points and its only the second game in, still gutting to lose in last min when we deserved a draw.  On to colchester hopefully we win.

I was disappointed we lost it at the death of course but overall I don't think anyone could argue that we didn't deserve a point, especially when you consider these match facts

As said above we have to learn a lesson from today and try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

A good performance at Colchester and a good outcome and we'll forget all about this afternoon's disappointment

This just goes to show how important it was to beat unfancied Morecambe.
By the look of the statistics we played well against Wycombe and did not just try and settle for a draw until the last ten minutes and that backfired spectacularly.
Our best chance of having a great season is to go for a win in every minute of every match, no matter who the opposition!
A draw and a win in the next two matches (either way round) will be a great start.
Good to see people looking at the positives from this match. Great support as ever!
Already looking forward to the Colchester match!

I'm just happy we are in the football league.. Silly time to concede but move on to next game.

True, Could be worse, we could be losing 3-1 to Sutton United 😂😂😂😂

We're only a point behind the league leaders! UTM!

Had we won today we would have been on top of the league, no team so far and its early I know makes us look like relegation fodder
