"I didn’t sign my second contract with Grimsby because financially my parents had to keep helping me and the club didn’t want to negotiate".

Who'd have thought it?

I liked him when he was here. Would have liked him to stay.
Sounds like he's got his head screwed on.

Good luck Charlie

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Probably a clear case of players suiting/not suiting certain clubs at particular times, and that being no reflection on their overall quality.

Interesting that it should pop up on that website Southwark.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I've never seen the site before. I was just interested to know if he was still at Valencia B so did a google and it popped up.

always liked him, was amazed we let a player capable of excellent first team performances at centre half leave at 18. Had he many any progression with us he could have been worth a fee.
