Like thousands of other Town fand I crIed my eyes out at the final whistle at Wembley. Difficult to think I've ever had such an emotional time as any football game before.

Anyway, back to business in Scotland and just 5 nights later my team, Auchinleck Talbot, were playing the money bags men of Hurlford United in the West of Scotland Cup Final. Hurlford are financed by a large tarmac company and they have pumped huge amounts of money into a club who were traditionally watched by one man and his dog. They are despised by other clubs because of their arrogance and money. Anyway, we gubbed them 2-0.

This last Wednesday night we played away at Hurlford inn our final league game needing just to avoid defeat to win our fourth consecutive Western Super League title. We beat them 1-0. We still have the possibility of another five games yet though as we play the Ayrshire Cup quarter final away at Beith next Saturday (Beith play in the Junior Cup Final at Kilmarnock's Rugby Park tomorrow) so could be three games for us in that competition, plus the end of season winner takes all Evening Times Cup - from the winners of all the divisions in the West. Posiible two games there.

A double is a cracking effort as we lost our huge central defender and captain about a third of the way through the season and he was impossible to replace. Highlights of the game at Hurlford below from TALBOT TV.

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Classic shout from that 'sweet old lady' when Talbot scored.
'Ring your bell now you b@stard'. Made me chuckle. 😄

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Looked fun, liked the way the no 7 knows hes about to get a 2nd yellow so tries the injury card, acted like he had a broke leg, then runs off the pitch without so much as a limp when hes told he off.
