felt sorry for the lad after his bad injuries - he's the only 1 who hadn't got their own thread, so thought id put that right!
anyway hope he gets fixed up as he's really had to overcome some setbacks. ending up back at boston would be quite fitting

Can I ask, is ANYONE staying with us for next season?!  I hope Hurst is keeping his phone switched on when he's lying on that beach!  Who'd be a manager, eh?  It's gonna be a busy (and no doubt frustrating) summer ahead for him.

Real shame that he got such bad injuries at such key points in his development. Wish him well.

especially as we are going to need a bigger squad next year with 7 subs needed and an extra cup competition.not inconceivable that we will play another 60 games next year and think our ability to get players in on loan is restricted

Real shame about the injuries this kids had. Lots of promise and I hope his year out sorts his knees and he can come back stronger. All the best Callum

All the best, terrible time in a players career for such devasting injuries. We stuck by him for a bit so can't knock the club.

Does this mean we'll be signing a keeper to challenge McKeown?

I feel for this lad. If anyone knows how hard it can be to break into pro football, young Bastock does. He did amazingly well to come back from the first injury and he must have been devastated by the second one. I hope he does well and is happy in whatever he decides to do. All the best mate.

A fresh start will probably do him some good, get away from town where nothing but bad luck loomed over his head and find a new club where he will get a chance

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas
