The man is a clown

flipping over all those loyal fans by playing for a flipping draw

Negative tactics, team selection and subs

I'm not feeling very spoilt

We won't go up with this joker in charge

Enough is enough

One win in six , no conviction no intent no belief and no real sense in what we are doing.

Just so drunk off as we are all set to blow it again at the time it matters.

Its been obvious for months that Hurst has not got a clue. Get him out now before he causes this season to end in disaster once again. Can he please take Monkhouse, Pittman and Robertson with him on his way out?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Hurst isn't going anywhere for another 22 or 29 days so you are going to have to keep on shouting whilst no one listens. We are all annoyed and angry but its not going to do anything. This atmosphere around the club is going to do us no favours going into the play-offs. I suppose its a case of how much you really want to see Town in the football league or not.

He's not going.  If you want the club to go up, you need to get behind the team instead of carping now.    Those players and management team need confidence, belief and support to get through the play-offs so since there are no other options, why don't we just get on with it and give them that backing?

No, it isn't going to happen, but what's worse, he will probably be here next season too because, in Fenty's eyes, a trip to Wembley represents success. And I guess if your regime has been littered with failure and PR gaffes, that's probably true.

It's not good at the moment and I too have not been a fan of PH.

But....playoffs is 3 games against teams we can beat and us getting on clubs and ph back now is self harming only.

if we sodomist up play off run in or lose in the plsy offs then he goes.

But I'm not prepared to lose a 40% chance of going up just so I can say I told you so to all the people I've been telling that PH is crap.

Let's get behind the club for now and deal with OH and board if and when we fail.

Where do you get 40% from? We haven't got in the play-offs yet and when we do it's 25% and with 1 win in 6, you could argue that that gets reduced.

I'm going to mention his preview for todays game again..
"I'm not going to get too hung up about Braintree.
"We have to move on to what will be an extremely difficult game at Dover. They drew on Tuesday night and are two points ahead of us.

"We know it's an extremely difficult place to go, in terms of their home record. Again, they play a certain way and are very strong."

because, hand on heart, he utterly convinced me that we were not going to get 3 points today. The East substitution really cemented the mans intentions. Stubborn to the bitter end.

The timing of the sacking should have been Halifax at the latest. Would have saved us all a lot of grief. It isn't gonna happen and unbelievably this chump has still got a chance to get us promoted..

There wont be any sacking of Paul Hurst whilst we are in for a chance of the play offs. Even then, I don't think he will get the sack if we don't reach or succeed in the play offs as Fenty will settle for the tin pot trophy. But then there is no guarantee on current form we will win that!

Listening to the interview on RH its so depressing, nothing new in that.
Monotone, no passion and PH quite happy to take a point.
JT didn't press at all when questioning Amond's omission-staggering really.
Top scorer and the game "wasn't right"???
Bizarre.
Why on earth JT didn't follow that up beggars believe.

Since when is playing for a point at a team above us in the table such a bad thing. As it happens the other results worked in our favour in the main. Not the greatest day ever but hardly a disaster.

Evening John.
No problem at all playing for the point.
However in an interview with PH he never implies that was the plan.

On that performance there's no chance we'll go up . A few half chances was all we could manage apart from the pen , and only looked like doing anything was when bogle ran at his man out wide which then meant there was nobody in the middle . Dover dominated the last 15 of the first half and all the second . Horwood looked like a scared little boy against their right winger Payne .
Big improvement needed but can't see it happening. Confidence looks like it's very low .

Cheltenham also won at Dover earlier in the year, they sent out Danny Wright as their striker as it was the 'right' sort of game for him, it seems.
He scored two and they won.

The mighty Dover. Mighty mighty Dover.

They looked like the part-time team they are for 15 minutes in the first half. Like most of the teams in this league. If we had a positive manager and team attitude we'd have won hands down. With all due respect to Dover, if they are 3rd what does it say to the rest of the division.

I think Fenty tells Rob of what to post

If Rob doesn't do what Fenty says then Fenty will close down The Fishy again

Since when is playing for a point at a team above us in the table such a bad thing. As it happens the other results worked in our favour in the main. Not the greatest day ever but hardly a disaster.

Come off it Rob you don't seriously still have faith in this blagger, he's proving once again that he's out his depth trust us to end up with the weak link, we would of been promoted by now with Rob Scott.

On that performance there's no chance we'll go up

And yet a draw away at Dover in the playoffs would give us a great chance

0-0   against 10 man Eastleigh,

0-1  against the mighty Braintree

We will not need out top scorer against Dover its not his kind of game,

You could not make it up.

Totally disagree with this Rob, the other teams are closing the gap now and we had a chance to leapfrog Dover today to make it easier on ourselves and show our intent, but we sounded like we were hanging on at the death and with these negative tactics of late there is a chance we may not even make the playoffs so to be fair today was a bad result.

Like Arnold,Bogle and soon Podge their confidence as been shot to shiitrags from being left out then put in the side through Hursts lottery style selection.Does he put all the squad numbers in a bag bar No1 and let Doig pick 10 out at random??

He's not going.  If you want the club to go up, you need to get behind the team instead of carping now.    Those players and management team need confidence, belief and support to get through the play-offs so since there are no other options, why don't we just get on with it and give them that backing?

If you want the club to go up you play your 30 goal striker not a crock who not match fit (nowt personal JPP) and bring on a Diddy right back instead of him.

I understand your sentiment, have always been pro-Hurst and I agree we need to stick together but I'm absolutely at a loss to defend to total insanity shown again and again and again at the minute.

IF we spawn promotion stuttering and bumbling over the line I still think all the anti-Hursters will be dead right in what they have been saying.

Tranmere losing at home was a real bonus. If they don't even make the play-offs it will be a real boost fo us as we'd be favourites going into the competition. The main thing today was not to lose as we have  two relatively easy games to come and if we win them both we're very likely to claim third spot. Today and the final game were the hard ones this morning. The bookies still make us strong favourites to win the play-offs, you'd never believe it though reading some of the views of our so-called "supporters" on here who have already given up.

I think you are being overly optimistic there. The table is closing up alarmingly and I reckon it is going to be touch and go to stay in the top 5.

We have lost form just at the wrong time, Tuesday looks a difficult game to me, and then Chester will come here with no pressure and a new manager.

I do agree with you that if we do get in them, they are there for the taking if we can get our act together.

Odd feeling driving home today for a while, I felt like I wanted to end the season now so we can review and rebuild with some fresh ideas, personnel and energy.

As based upon the last 7 days versus 3 play off contenders we will be going nowhere, after all the positivity in the summer I just did not want to experience another PO let down.

We have good players but don't play good football - Down to the manager that. As I have said on   here recently go up he stays stay down he goes........... I at the moment would be delighted with either.

Asked a bloke today at the game if he could tell me when we had dominated a side for the full 90, he quickly replied "Altringham at home"........... I thought big flipping deal. Something has been wrong since Halifax and we appear not to have recovered.

Agreed but I'd rather play clubs with nothing to play for. We could easily have lost today, as it is at least we have given ourselves every chance. If we intercourse up and drop points in the both the next two games then we can only blame ourselves.

This month was always going to be tough because the fixtures were hard enough as it is before we decided to go on a run in the FA Trophy and throw a couple more long trips into the schedule.I always expected us to drop quite a lot of points this month. I still expect us to drop more as well, I'd be shocked if we won the last four.

Something has been wrong since Kidderminster - A draw against a team destined for relegation before a ball had been kicked said it all.

Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong
Update:  I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly

He did look it today. Would have been less of a problem if he wasn't in effect our only out and out striker today (what with Boggle being out so wide). In fact I would go so far as to say he 'didn't fit the system' today.

Dear oh dear
You are the number 1 Hurst/Fenty apologists on here.
I wonder where you will go with your love in when we are still a non league team next season????

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I don't disagree with any of that, and found the tactics baffling, particularly the reversion to the "Monkhousan-Syndrome" (diagonal hoofs to nowhere somewhere on the wing).

For me, I want Bogle and Amond up front, Stewart playing a part and for us to get it on the ground and play through teams as we all know they can.  I still think we have a great chance to go up and a playoff line-up of Forest Green Rovers, Dover Athletic and Braintree Town shouldn't worry us.

So that's why I'm backing the team and keeping my torch and pitchfork locked away until the end of the season.

I think Fenty tells Rob of what to post

If Rob doesn't do what Fenty says then Fenty will close down The Fishy again

Completely wrong and the exact opposite of how it is.

Rob has had a lot of sleepless nights being the guardian of the fishy and if you read his posts is not a Fenty puppet.

Our history doesn't give us any right. Of course not. No one is saying that. But we're talking about a club who can only get 1900 for a game such as today. Clearly they won't have our resources. They were not very good. I saw it with my own eyes. We have a squad easily better than theirs. Yet we cravenly set out to counter them rather than go out to win. Surrendering the initiative again.

The result is not acceptable when we are clearly capable of doing better. If I was say, a Woking fan, I would have been happy with it.

FGR have dipped and admittedly we could beat them, Dover? Based upon today and a dodgy pen in the home tie they will be a challenge. Braintree? Again we should be able to beat them too. If Eastleigh make it we can beat them........................... BUT!! We at the moment are playing gash so you never can tell.

If you think the bookies are wrong then flipping put a bet on! I did when they offered 2000/1 on Leicester to win the league.

The bookies had Amond as nailed on top scorer a couple of weeks ago. Now Dan Holman is the top scorer in the league...but supposedly the bookies are always right?

Statistics and odds don't always tell the whole story.

Not a betting man, work to hard for my money and three kids to feed.

You got money on town to go up? Someone on here always asks you but you never answer him.

If I was a betting man, I would say you haven't .

I had over £100 on us at the start of the season. I hardly ever cash bets in because I won't take rip-off odds but Bet365 actually allowed me to cash in for a small profit after 3 games. so I bit their hand off because we had an awful start and FGR were miles ahead at that stage.

Generally, I won't bet on us in this division because I am not a favourite backer and we start virtually every game as favourites or close favourites. I've backed us plenty of times in the football league.

It amazes me more people on here don't bet seriously, especially if you watch live lower league football regularly, it should give you an edge. I make plenty of money from football betting and other people can read the game far better than I can. These days I rely on increasingly my models and I have even written my own software to put my bets on, but even with my own intuition I reckon I can win, or at least break even.

Nar nar ne nar nar 😛

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I don't bet as someone recently said when you go to the bookie "there are 5 windows for paying in and 2 for paying out" that says everything TBH.

Right so you have a go at people on here for not having faith and yet you cash out after about 3 games.

Quickscoped.

if you bet seriously you shouldn't be even setting foot in a bookies, that's your first mistake!

If you want to make money from betting you can't let your heart rule your head. I should never have put the bet on in the first place TBH it's not my style. I generally back outsiders at long odds, not favourites. I was very happy to cash out.

It's not uncommon for me to be on us to lose (I did today) but it never stop me wanting us to win. Even when LJL scored a late penalty at Welling last season and it cost me £500 in winnings I still celebrated!

A step nearer to the play offs so the double is still on, then everyone on here will be praising PH as the best manger since Alan Buckley.  It's a funny old world.
